Cgmanager failed to start

Hi folks,

I notice on startup of my Ubuntu 20.04 server I get a failed process.

cgmanager failed to start.

I don’t fully understand cgmanager’s role in LXC/LXD, how can I fix this error…

Ive tried restarting etc but it just doesnt come up.

journalctl -xe produces the following:

-- The unit cgmanager.service has entered the 'failed' state with result 'exit-code'.

Any thoughts on this error?

cgmanager is a dead project and has been gone for a long time, just remove the package

(cgmanager got deprecated with the switch to systemd so around 2014-2015)
