is it possible to create a vm from a lxd image?

You’re going to have to be more specific as LXD images can be of either container or VM type. So it’s obviously possible to create a LXD VM from a LXD image of type VM.

ok. what i want is : i have an ubuntu 22 with all my software in lxd.
i want to create a vm where out of this lxd.

So creating a VM from a container image?
No, you can’t do that. A container image just has a basic filesystem, no partitions, no bootloader, no kernels.
