Failed to start the daemon: ZFS storage pool "lxd" could not be imported: cannot import 'lxd': invalid vdev configuration

I’ve accidentally lost my main lxd zfs storage_pool while trying to truncate it. I can no longer run any of my containers citing ‘Error: Get http://unix.socket/1.0: dial unix /var/lib/lxd/unix.socket: connect: no such file or directory’. When trying to run ‘sudo lxd --group lxd’ I get ‘EROR[10-02|14:26:30] Failed to start the daemon: ZFS storage pool “lxd” could not be imported: cannot import ‘lxd’: invalid vdev configuration’. As I can see the said zfs storage pool and its contents in ‘/var/lib/lxd/disks’, is there a way of reviving it, since it’s not visible when I do ‘zpool status’??

You’re going to have to play with the many recovery options of zpool import.
Though if you’ve truncated the file manually, I’d be very surprised if that was recoverable…
