Getting error after lxd upgrade 4.21

Hi,

after lxd upgrade to 4.21, while starting the lxd service getting the below error.

WARN[12-27|08:40:07] Failed to initialize fanotify, falling back on fsnotify err="Failed to watch directory \"/dev\": no such device"

could anyone help me on this ?

That’s not an error its a warning.

What is the problem you are having?

Hi,

We have not faced any problems. just curious to know is this an error or not

The message shows the log level set to WARN so this is not an error.

Possibly lack of support in the kernel but lxd will fall back to a different fs notify approach.
