Limited network capacity

Hi there :slight_smile:

In my local container, that I access via incus exec is the network capacity obviously limited.

Host and guest are both Arch Linux.
Otherwise default settings, besides it being a privileged container.

I cannot download certain files (uv python install graalvm and uv python install cpython) but others (uv python install pypy) do work.

I also have issues reaching certain servers, such as

All those things work from the host system, so I wonder what privileges or settings are in play here.

How can I bug track this?

Sounds like a potential MTU problem.

Maybe check with tracepath or similar what the PMTU is from the host, it’s likely that something is messy with PMTUd along the path and leading to the remote server being misinformed about the maximum size it can send back (MSS).
