Lxd recover storage bucket scanning?

lxd recover just helped me recover in a test after reinstalling snap + lxd from-to 5.13-… (latest/stable) after I upgraded from 5.0.2 and I was trying to clean core20 and was unsure about snap connections. Looks like lxd recover restored all pools & volumes from 2 btrfs storage pools, on two separate partitions, but it didn’t recover/restore the test storage bucket I had created, which I could inspect was still there when mounting the partition.

…ohh, and I did have to run lxd recover twice, after recreating the the network and profiles it notified were missing, as first run after the missing items were created didn’t recover anything.

Is storage buckets being considered added to lxd recover scanning or already there or is there a reason why it is not there ?

is lxd minio shim/wrapper considering added minio console as an option ? or is it something that is only going to be integrated in lxd web ui if that’s the case ?

side note:
just tried the irc link on https://discuss.linuxcontainers.org/ that links to https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.libera.chat/#lxc which no longer seem to work. Wouldn’t it be an idea to update it to something like https://web.libera.chat/#lxc ?

Yes I think we should add bucket support to lxd recover, please can you log an issue here https://github.com/lxc/lxd/issues

Thanks

I believe that bucket support will be added to the LXD UI.

Thanks for the link advice, will get that changed.
