Migrating a container, including snapshots, to another host

I am very happily managing a bunch of containers using LXD 3.0.3 on Ubuntu 18.04, including moving containers in between different LXD hosts. This is a really fantastic framework.

Now I was wondering if it was possible to copy containers in between hosts including all snapshots. It seems like when a container is transferred, it gets flattened into an image and the snapshot history is lost.

Is there a way to move containers around, including snapshots?

is lxc copy not available with LXD 3.03 ? I’m almost sure it is and lxc copy does transfert all shapshots.

Yes that’s right, snapshots are transferred with lxc copy. I didn’t read the documentation correctly. Thank you!
