I’m looking for newbie advise. I think I’ve bitten off more than I can chew. I’ve been scouring the web and can’t find information on my problem. I’m quite sure I’m missing something fundamental, but can’t figure out what it is. I feel I’m going to need to kick myself.
I can start a container on one storage pool, but when I init or launch it a copy of that image on a different, larger pool with a different filesystem, it fails. Says:
lxc 20170912155921.301 ERROR lxc_start - start.c:start:1537 - Permission denied - Failed to exec "/sbin/init".
And the overall error is:
error: Failed to run: /snap/lxd/4031/bin/lxd forkstart second /var/snap/lxd/common/lxd/containers /var/snap/lxd/common/lxd/logs/second/lxc.conf:
I don’t get that on the working pool.
I looked at the mount options on that FS, looked at dir permissions. Can’t see anything jump out at me.
I wondered if lxd is looking in the wrong place, for whatever reason.
