Can a single ceph (rbd) pool be shared between cluster nodes?

I don’t think this is the case, but I’m looking for clarity.

Assume I have a ceph cluster with (rbd tagged) pool, Pool1. I also have 3 incus daemons running on nodes VM1, VM2 and VM3, in a cluster, Cluster1.

Is it possible / viable to use Pool1 as the backing storage for all nodes in Cluster1, or do I need to create separate (ceph rbd) pools, one per node?

Thanks!

You should always use the same pool across all servers or Incus is going to get very very confused.

The expectation is that if you have an Incus storage pool named foo and it’s using the bar osd pool, that same osd pool will be used for all servers for that pool.
