Currently we have a vm on lxd with some proprietary software, and its license is bound to system’s UUID, possibly some other DMI data and NIC’s MAC address. Will lxd-to-incus (or incusd itself) change any of these? I’m afraid the license might become invalid after the migration
No, the UUID is stored as a volatile
property on the instance (part of its configuration) so that won’t change. The same goes for your MAC address which is either part of the nic device config or part of a volatile
property on the instance too.
