[Feature request] lxc exec $host:self to run command on LXD server

Hello,

We run multiple LXD servers managed from a central controller via the (excellent) “lxc remote” features. Would it be possible to have a parameter similar to “lxc exec” which would run a command ON THE HOST, for example to edit firewall rules on the host following container creation? As of today a local session on host is required to perform operations which fall outside of immediate container management via predefined lxc functions (creation/deletion/start/stop…).

I understand this may be more of a use case for other automation tools such as puppet & saltstack though.

Regards,
D.
