Fedora 43 server vm freezes

I‘m using IncusOS since 4 Month on 3 different servers, after I used incus on Debian 12 for >1 year. All without problems…. But now I‘m struggling to understand what’s going on…

A simple Fedora 43 server (from the original image, not the template provided by linuxcontainers) is installing fine, but after ca. 1h it‘s not reachable via ssh any longer. While ping works, ssh is not. And on the console, I can type my login name, but not getting to the password prompt….

Only way is a hard reset….

I tried that on my Intel based server, and later the same (but new) on one of my AMD based server, the result is the same… I was not running anything on that installation, eventually it should server a forgejo runner…

Is there anything specific with such installation? Can‘t remember similar issues on my Debian incus last year….

Logfiles have not helped me to better understand, but maybe one of you has an idea?

Hmm, that’s definitely a bit odd. Are other VMs on the same system behaving correctly?

You may want to look at incus admin os debug log to see if there’s anything interesting in the system log.

The log is not showing anything….

But an install of Debian 13 from the official netinstall iso does work on both Intel and AMD Incusos Server. Hence I‘m not following up with this Fedora issue, but run the runner on Debian..

Many thanks for such a great product, I‘m happy that I did the switch from Proxmox to Incus and I‘m enjoying all the features and stability I get from it!
