How are zfs pools mounted by LXD?

How are zfs pools mounted by LXD?
I only see “legacy” mountpoints with zfs list.
mount doesn’t show any entries.

I am trying to do something similar as this: https://thomas-leister.de/en/move-a-lxd-based-mastodon-instance/

He mounts with mount, but I would like to do it like LXD “wants” it.

LXD uses the mount command, which is why we instruct ZFS to not manage its mounts by setting it to legacy.

Thanks! Is there any way to get into the mount namespace to see the mounts with the mount command?

PS: I am thinking about self compiling LXD and using it that way. What is the mount namespace in that case in contrast to the snap package?
