the installation stops as there is a iDRAC floppy detected which leads to an error.
How to circument this behavior?

The easiest is probably to specify target in the installation seed.
This can also be done using the IncusOS Image customizer in the “installation target” section.
IncusOS should more properly ignore any virtual iDRAC devices, and I’ve added that to our check of BMC devices:
