Lxc import fails with latest snap version

when trying to import an exported container from
lxd 4.0.9-a29c6f1 24061 4.0/stable canonical✓ - on ubuntu 18.04

to
lxd 5.19-8635f82 26200 latest/stable canonical✓ - on ubuntu 22.04
I get the following error:
lxc import container.tar.gz
Importing instance: 100% (669.35MB/s)Error: Post “http://unix.socket/1.0/instances”: EOF

This worked with earlier version

Probably best to go ask on the LXD forum, but I’d suggest looking at your system journal as this behavior usually indicates a LXD crash, so there should be a stack trace in the log.
