Lxd 3.0.3: nictype=routed results in error "Bad nic type:routed"

hello,

trying the following on a vps with ubuntu 18.04
@:~# lxc config device add c1 eth0 nic nictype=routed parent=ens18 ipv6.address=xxxx:xxxx:xxxx::x

i get the error message:
Error: Invalid devices: Bad nic type: routed

haven’t figured it out why

lxc version 3.0.3 installed

OK I figured it out , used the deb version not the snap installation of lxd,
did the migrate, have the added nic types now.
