MySQL 8 Failing to Start

Hello.

I am trying to run MySQL 8 in an unprivileged Ubuntu 20.04 (Ubuntu Focal) LXD container. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, the installation is failing. I’m posting the logs (that I could gather) here:

Please let me know if you have seen a similar issue and, possibly, the fix for this.

By the way, this is the guide I followed to install MySQL 8.

Have tried this fix (Solution “InnoDB Error ib_logfile0 is of different size” – IT Blog) but the issue still persists.

Hi,
You can use the official Mysql Repo, it works without any problem, tested with Ubuntu20.04. Here is the link https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/apt/

Yes, my first try was another file system. I can confirm that is the zfs case, thanks for the information @sdeziel.
