I’m just curious if there’s any downside to using Brew over a native package on linux? In my case specifically on Fedora?
The reason I’m wonderin’ is the Fedora packages seem to lag slightly behind the Brew ones (Currently Fedora has 6.18.1, while Brew has 6.19.1 and there’s some features - like the new selinux features - I’d like to try out). Plus I use immutable servers for my hosts, so not having to layer incus on could be a bonus.
I’ve used Brew for a handful of things on my local desktop in the past, but never on a server. So I’m not sure if there’s any performance/security/compatibility/feature differences or other considerations to keep in mind if I were to switch to using Brew instead?
Ohhh my bad, that definitely eliminates it as an option.
Any chance Zabbly will support an rpm repo one day? For clarity I’d use a Debian variant (or probably IncusOS actually) if I could but my main server’s actually on a MacMini M1 I inherited which can only really run Fedora Asahi.
