Hey, I need to know whether official LXD images or LXC templates contain telemetry or non-free software. Can these images safely be used to host stuff like Tor hidden services? Thanks
You can find the exact list of packages installed at https://github.com/lxc/lxc-ci (images directory) and all builds are done publicly on https://jenkins.linuxcontainers.org
Each image at Index of /images/ also comes with a build.log file that shows its build process.
In general I don’t expect there to be non-free software or telemtry tooling in there, obviously none that we ourselves put in there, but as we use each distro’s tooling to produce those images, the question is more for the individual distro and their packages than for us.
