I was using stable, (I have a chimera setup with using zabbly kernel with stable debian) and suddenly things wouldn’t turn off. I did a lot of troubleshooting, got close to a kernel reason, (it was the recent update a few days ago) and decided to murder the whole setup. If you are using zabbly non stable kernel you might want to hold off on updating. I am just re-installing because I got tired of trying to rescue the setup. Alas I obliterated the evidence, so I can’t help too much but anyone running chimera debian 13 with zabbly kernel might want to freeze kernels for a while.
I’m runing debian 13 with xanmod 6.18 and have no problems. The zabbly kernel seems on bleeding edge branch that may cause problems.
I am using zabbly stable. I also have pinned it. Security be damned. (I will intelligently decide if its worth the danger of an upgrade for a non-internet exposed system. The problem is its amd strix halo which has strange firmwarisms with the older verison.
