I’ve set up a VM with macvlan to give the VM its own MAC address so it can obtain a unique IP address in the greater network, but I want that VM to be able to talk to the host. (...eth0 nic nictype=macvlan parent=eth0) On Proxmox, they have something cooked up so attaching a VM to their “bridge” gives it its own MAC address while still being able to talk to the host.
