Switching to "standard" distribution

I am using a self-compiled LXD (5.0) on a Debian Sid installation.
Installation is in /usr/local, simple systemd script is in /etc/systemd/system/lxd.service and default storage pool is in zfs (zfs.pool_name: homez/lxd).
Now Debian embraced LXD and I would like to switch to Debian package so I don’t have to maintain it, possibly retaining all my conteiners/settings.

Question is: are there any gotchas to care about?
I already did a lxd init --dump is there anything else to backup before I hide mu installation and remove systemd service?

TiA!
