Ubuntu 18.10 LXD Snap Problems

Hi All,

I recently installed Ubuntu 18.10 on a laptop that has new hardware and needs the latest kernel.

I installed LXD via snap (version 3.5) and successfully copied over some containers from another machine.

After a reboot, I can no longer access the containers, and none of the LXD/LXC commands work.

I decided to try removing the snap and get the following error:

error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Remove data for snap "lxd" (9010) (remove /var/snap/lxd/common/ns/shmounts: device or resource busy)

How can I reinstall LXD?

Managed to remove the snap after another restart.

Reconfiguring and copying the containers over again now.

Sorry for clogging up the forum with support requests - this is the first time I’ve had a problem and I’ve been using LXD everyday for a couple of years now. It’s a fantastic tool and I couldn’t possibly live without it.

Your specific case could have been some race condition so it’s helpful if more people that get the same issue to report here (hopefully under this post).
