Unable to copy image from images.linuxcontainers.org

Not sure it this is related to this but since this morning I could not copy ubuntu/jammy from https://images.linuxcontainers.org.

root@lxd:~#

The weird thing is that it happens only from my machine. I created a new VM in a different location and deployed LXD on it, from there the command works as expected.

# lxc image copy images:ubuntu/jammy local:
To start your first container, try: lxc launch ubuntu:22.04
Or for a virtual machine: lxc launch ubuntu:22.04 --vm

Image copied successfully!
#

From my machine:

root@lxd:~# lxc image list images:
+-------+-------------+--------+-------------+--------------+------+------+-------------+
| ALIAS | FINGERPRINT | PUBLIC | DESCRIPTION | ARCHITECTURE | TYPE | SIZE | UPLOAD DATE |
+-------+-------------+--------+-------------+--------------+------+------+-------------+
root@lxd:~#

Remotely the same command show a list of images. Can someone help me out to debug this ?

Forgot to add:

root@lxd:~# lxc version
Client version: 5.20
Server version: 5.20
root@lxd:~#

OK, I see what is the difference. I removed lxd and installed the snap from 5.0/stable channel and it is working now.

Yep, that’s exactly why. We’ve phased out image server access for non-LTS LXD users, so if you’re on 5.20 you won’t see any image, if you’re using LXD 5.0.2 you will see them, for now.
