Which to pick for a homelab: IncusOS or Incus

I’m starting in the homelab world. So I have a Dell Optiplex Mini as my server with 32GiB of RAM. The end the plan is to have a k3s cluster in HA with Incus instances. I started to write some Ansible playbooks to automate Incus installation and initialization.

For this, I thought: I could use IncusOS. The question is: which are the advantages and the disadvantages of using IncusOS vs Incus on a homelab such as mine? Any particular experience of using both on homelab environments?

Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, the most advantage and disadvantage is IncusOS doesn’t have a shell.

If up to me to choose for homelab, I will choose incus.

Eventually you would use IncusOS. If you want flexibility while experimenting with your homelab, you would go for Incus now. As @catfish said.
