Wishlist: lxc project delete

Hello!

I was working with LXC with my development tasks - and it has come to my attention that the projects that are created by different tools (rockcraft, snapcraft, charmcraft) fills up my disk very quickly.

I was wondering if there could be a simple lxc project delete command that would facilitate automatic deletion of all resources under given project?

This would really help with the UX for LXC.

Thank you!

You’re talking about lxd, not lxc.

This forum provides support for incus, which is a community fork of lxd. If you migrate to incus, you’ll find a welcoming community, as well as the functionality you want as incus project delete --force.

If you remain with lxd, please use the Canonical forums for future questions or enhancement requests - see FAQ here. Since Canonical changed the license of lxd, the incus project is no longer able to look at lxd source code.

Here is how to migrate to Incus, Migrating from LXD - Incus documentation

A good prerequisite is to have stayed at version 5.21 (stable, LTS) of LXD because the utility lxd-to-incus primarily works best with that version. Obviously, you are already in the field of system containers/VMs and it’s easy to try out Incus in a VM, even giving a try for a test migration.

Ah gotcha, thank you for the helpful reply!
