Introduction
Canonical Ltd. strengthens its investment into LXD and is looking at building multiple squads under the technical leadership of @stgraber.
As such, we are looking for first line managers (highly technical) and individual contributors to grow the team and pursue our efforts around scalability and clustering.
All positions are 100% remote with some travel for internal events and conferences.

All applications need an up to date CV. The selection process will require you to invest time, it roughly comprises of the following steps:
- Review of applications (by our hiring team)
- Written interview (take home questionnaire)
- Standardised aptitude tests (through an external provider)
- Short initial interview (meet & greet)
- Technical assignment (take home)
- Technical Interviews
- HR Interview
- Manager and Hiring Lead interviews
The written tests are sent out by e-mail with plenty of time to complete them.
We also usually do not perform any live coding tests, instead mostly being interested in discussing your past experience with various topics and technologies, thoughts on the work we’d like you to do, …

This role is for technical managers to join the LXD team. You must have strong technical knowledge of Linux and cloud technologies but your role will be to run an effective team and develop the colleagues you manage.
2x Software Engineer (Go)

This role is focused on the development of additional services to help with LXD scalability.
We’re looking for Go developers with experience in REST API design and implementation as well as good database design and data management background.
